The Town of Pamplico is governed by a Mayor and six Town Council Members under the Council form of government as authorized by the Home Rule Act, S.C. Code 5-510.

Meetings of Town Council are held the third Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at the Council Chambers, 201 River Road.  The Council oversees all town operations, services and programs.  Assisting the Mayor and Council are nine employees including the Town Clerk/Treasurer, Utilities Billing Clerk, Police Chief, Public Works Supervisor and a part-time Town Administrator is provided by the Pee Dee Regional Council of Governments.
